PS147 Communication:  At our school, communication is key with our school community.  We have several ways to stay in touch with you.

ClassDojo: ClassDojo brings our school community together, with one place for teachers, staff, and families to connect, communicate, and share learning experiences.  All classroom Teachers have their own classroom pages.  ClassDojo also has a home page where general school information is posted by various members of our school community.

Backpacking Notices:  Available for families who wish to receive paper reminders, key information, and announcements.

New York City Schools Account (NYSCA) Portal:  Allows families to access grades, test scores and forms.  Simply reset your child's NYCDOE account password and access Support Hub.  Every NYCDOE public school student has a NYCDOE account created automatically when your child/children are enrolled at school.  This account remains the same and allows you to access all NYCDOE technology platforms.

Student Transportation

Special Education:  Students who receive special education services may receive transportation services.  Once a student is assigned to the bus route, please make sure to document the route and bus number.

*NEW* OMNY Cards:  This year, OMNY cards will be distributed to eligible students who live within a qualified distance.  These cards can be used on the subway or the bus, with four (4) free rides every day. In addition, ONMY cards can also be used daily, including weekends and over the summer months. It is very important that these cards are kept in a safe location as losing them may result in waiting for three (3) months for a replacement card.

For additional information on student transportation, you may log in to your New York City School’s Account (NYSCA).

Safety Protocols

UPDATED Immunization Requirements:  Please be sure to provide the school with an updated Health Examination Form for your child. You may drop the form off in the main office or with your child’s teacher.

Visitors:  Proof of NYS Identification is required by School Safety upon arrival.

Sickness:  If your child exhibits symptoms of COVID-19 or other illness, please keep your child(ren) at home.  Please contact the teacher and/or Main Office at 718.497.0326 for awareness and support.
